When visiting Antiparos, one of the things you must put on your "to do" list is a day in Agios Georgios.
The beauty hits you the second you drive up on the hill and look down on this beautiful part of the island. Sailboats calmly laying in the bay, the historic island of Despotiko and the sea and mountains is part of making this area so very special.
In Agios Georgios you will find the real Greece. Golden beaches and local taverns, where you can spend a whole day just taking in the impressions of it all. Pay a respectful visit to the monument of the Ag.Georgios chapel where you also can dive into the clear blue sea.

We believe why most people take a day in Agios Georgios is the local taverns. Sit by the water and eat fresh fish or calamari, enjoy some local wine or a Greek coffee and just listen to the calm sea and watch the fish jumping. You will have the most amazing view to the island of Despotiko and the bay. With two taverns and one cafe by the sea the choice is yours, but we are sure you will enjoy your lunch no matter which place you choose. A bit further up the street you will find another local tavern, who offers traditional Greek dishes and offers a lovely scenery for lunch or dinner.

Of course you will enjoy some sunbathing and swimming during your Agios Georgios day. Find a beach or a small private bay that suits you. Bring a book and lay in the shade or cool down in the dark blue sea. For those who wants more activities we recommend you take the daily cruses over to the island of Despotiko and feel history in person when visiting the sanctuary of Apollo and Artemis.

As the day is coming to an end we are sure your heart, mind ..and camera.. are filled with memories that will last a life time. And that the day you spend in Agios Georgios will be one to remember!
ENJOY!
“Happy is the man, I thought, who, before dying, has the good fortune to sail the Aegean sea.”
